Contest Rules
  • Burbank Idol is open to singers of all ages - you don't have to be in school, you don't have to be a teenager, you just have to be! NOTE: Current BHS Vocal Music Association students and family members are not eligible to compete.
  • There are no fees to enter the Burbank Idol Competition. To enter, complete the following steps:
    • Make a video of yourself performing your Burbank Idol song.
    • Upload your video to a YouTube account. The video must be titled with your name, followed by the words BURBANK IDOL 2012 AUDITION.
    • Complete the online entry form below, and provide a link to the web address of your YouTube video.
    • Remember to record and upload your video BEFORE completing this form!
  • After reviewing the video submissions, 16 finalists will be chosen by a panel of casting agents and professional performers. All finalists will be required to pay a $25 entry fee in order to advance to the live competition.
  • During the live competition, there will be 3 rounds of elimination. The top finishers will be chosen by audience vote.

  • First Prize: $500

    plus a Guest Performance in Burbank High School's 2012 Pop Show, where you will be seen by industry casting agents and producers!

    Second Prize: $250.

    Third Prize: $150.
